Hanging with Girl Talk

Paige is friends with a member of Girl Talk's crew, which afforded us an opportunity to shoot their recent Elon University show.

When I shoot concerts I tend to get in and get out. I don't usually stay around and socialize or network, so this was a kind of a new/different experience. They were all incredibly friendly and hospitable. Before the show we hung out on the bus, they offered to make us sandwiches, drinks, etc. It was quite fun and unexpected.

I'm about as awkward as they come, and spent most of our down-time trying to not look like a tourist or fanboy. But it's my nature to photograph those around me. So, I couldn't resist grabbing some candid shots.

During the break between Spring and Summer semesters I've shot nothing but film (and Polaroids). This will be my last semester at RCC, so I want to get as much as I can from the equipment, facility, and free film processing.

After the next few months, the amount of film that I will be able (and afforded) to shoot and process will take a significant nose-dive.

But with all I have plus everyone else returning from break, there's sure to be enough color film turned-in to warrant a couple runs.

So for the next week or two I'll be spending a lot of time with my Nikon CoolScan and Imacon Flextight friends.
